I have a medical based degree, and have looked into this role before, I would love to work in medical illustration but just haven't got round to doing the photography qualifications needed for it yet. Maybe one day!

    Nikon D7xxx owners thread

Hello Pinkjay, fancy seeing you here! Enjoying it so far, but looking forward to my Dummies guide arriving in a couple of days so I can get my head around some of the more complicated stuff! Put up a couple of photos on flickr today, focus seems OK (fingers crossed!).

How many use auto on their cameras

I mainly use manual, unless it's just a quick shot (eg for selling an item on the net). If I leave my husband in charge it has to be in auto though, he's great with bikes but clueless about using a camera!

    Nikon D7xxx owners thread

Got my D7000 today, thanks to my husband haggling with the man in the camera shop to bring it down to a good price. Battery is charged up and I've just had a quick play, but really need to sit down and look at it carefully tomorrow, so much to take in after the d5000

    Lens not up to it?

Yes, you can get macro filters on ebay for about £10 if you want a cheap 'fix',but detail and quality won't be anything close to what you get which a macro lens. I'm using filters at the moment (until I can afford a macro lens),the focal point is small with the filters, but the effect can be...

    YODEL Home Delivery

Don't get me started! Yodel left a brand new kindle (which is delivered in a very distinctive box with 'Kindle' on the front) on our front door step the other week. Propped up! It was visible to everyone, and open to the elements ona day when it was predicted to rain and there were grey...

    Newbie needing advice...

Some really good advice here. I went to the shop to have a play with them to see what suited me. I ended up with a Nikon D5000, and not too long after the 35mm lens. For me the D5000 was a great starting point, I have learnt lots and it's built in help mode was very useful. I'm ready to...
