Sounds like a good plan I'll give it a go! Might sound like a daft question but how do I find out the sensor width?

VERY NICE!!! What lens did you use? I got some snaps where one actually had a guillemot in it's tallons. Trouble is its quite a distance away and once cropped and zoomed it's not very sharp, unlike your very nice shot... Well done!

    help on macro range

I have a sigma 70-300m Macro DG lens. It will focus, at closest to 1:2. I also use macro extension tubes. I am wondering what range I am reaching when focusing as close as I can, would it be as large as 1:1?

lens converter vs an even longer telephoto?

Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG MACRO Lens is the lens i use, so basically by what you have both written, it looks as though well... your right! Think saving for telephoto zoom of a longer range might be the way forward! Thanks for your replies

    Slow shutter speed

Hello everyone, i am still relatively new in the fantastic world of the slr!! I have been experimenting with taking shots of moving water, ie waterfalls, beach shots using a slower shutter speed to gain that 'misty' effect. And if i do say so myself I have gained some pleasing results. The only...
