    Suggestions for a small tripod.

If you're after something cheap, I'd recommend this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hama-Traveller-Compact-Pro-Tripod/dp/B002L4ODDS The ball head it excellent and it is very compact, there is also an even smaller version available if size is an issue. I love mine and it's great for when I need it, but...

    What is this vogue ...?

Good point Pookeyhead - but not me personally as I gave the Chef game up a while ago and I'm now a Nurse :D but yeah, I have definitely seen a few out there who think running a restaurant is just a case of make a plate of food appear; much as the same as some believe pushing a button on a camera...

    What is this vogue ...?

I put my name on my images purely because It was me who took them, I am in no way a pro and never will be. I have Chef qualifications but if someone told me they made the dinner I wouldn't say "Oh so you think you're a Chef now then!?!" :p

    Abandoned or derelict places/ruins?

Lol, I'm from Bury but live in Ipswich now, keep meaning to head back for a day to get some pics, plenty of opportunities there, nice landscape out Rougham way too.

    Focusing D5100

Yeah it seems that single focus is more reliable, it's a shame, I really like the picture other than that.

    Focusing D5100

Just looked on View NX and there's 3 focal points spot on where her face is, I think terryt may have cracked it, I didn't realise the shutter was so slow, whoops! :bang: Thanks for the replies
