    Thank you so much for the help and replies everyone. It's really put my mind at ease. We have a plug adapter - according to the notes in the brochure the ship has both European two pin and UK three pin sockets - won't do any harm to take it anyway. Thanks again. :)

    UPDATE: We got a Feisol photocart in the end. We used it today and it was great - so much easier. The only snag is it's a bit of a faff to load it but I'm sure that'll come with practice. Thanks again for everyone's help. :clap:

    I agree...lol. We've been going up to Northumberland for the past 20 years. It's a wonderful place. Budle Bay just outside of Bamburgh is an excellent place for bird and wildlife spotting. If you do go back up I can recommend a little village called Etal - it's absolutely beautiful. Also...
