I hope you don't mind me jumping in a little on this. Are camera manufacturer's also generally better lenses than say Tamron for example? Ie. Would i be better off with a Canon lens rather than a Tamron? Sorry for jumping in :) Just thought i'd ask here whilst you're talking lenses rather than...

That's brilliant, thanks. When we're back at work he's bringing the lens in to show me anyway. So i shall still have a look at it but i will bare in mind the fact it probably won't be long enough.

Hi people, Next year i'm considering doing some motorsport photography. Probably mainly rally's. I've noticed a lot of people using longer lenses, usually 300mm in the motorsport section. Is this the preferred option? Reason i ask is i only have my standard kit lens (18-55) and a work...

Hi, Just thought i'd introduce myself. I'm Chip, 24 from Nottinghamshire. I've been wanting a DSLR for a few years now and yesterday finally managed to get myself an EOS 1100D. A friend has mentioned this forum so thought i'd come have a browse and see what i can learn :) Chip
