Spend my money for me! - Gizto Tripod, Head & Plate advice request

Thanks for all the feedback folks. Do you know of any places in Wales or the South West that actually have some of this stuff in stock for a touchy feely session. I've certainly narrowed down my choices now but would prefer to have a play before splashing the cash.

Spend my money for me! - Gizto Tripod, Head & Plate advice request

Hi there, I've come to the conclusion that I need to lug more gear around the field with me and what better way to sap my energy than buying a good quality tripod, plate and head combination to go with my setup. I currently have a Nikon D200 (dabbling with the idea of a D300) and a Nikkor...

    Nikon 200-400mm

I've handheld the majority of my stuff taken with it. To get the best results for wildlife then you'd be better off putting it on a stable base but I manage to get reasonable results handholding. Yes, it is pretty heavy but not unmanageable. The lens itself is around 3.2kg iirc and with a body...

    Nikon 200-400mm

Hi Kevshore, I've got the 200-400 and of course it's a great piece of glass, the decision you have to make is if is the right piece of glass for you! I bought it as an "all in one solution" for what I want from my photography time which is predominantly wildlife. I love the flexibility of...

    New Website - First Draft

I echo what surrealillusions has said above. The content is very moving and easy to navigate and contains a wonderful biography with all the information on distinct pages, but it could do with a little "something" else. Maybe a splash of colour with a background would help and possibly...

    Colour blind

I'm colour blind here and only have problems on the post processing side. I never know if I've blown out the colours too much so usually ask an opinion if I think I've overdone things. e.g. I've made a picture of a robin obscenely red!!!! As regards image composition, I never really think...

£250 All in one Camera - Specifically Panasonic DMCFZ18EBK

Ironically enough, I have/had a Canon Powershot Pro1 which is as excellent little camera but obviously a few years dated from the newer technology available. Again, a great macro on it and a wonderful lens. Thanks for the info so far. Greatly appreciated! Looks like I may well nudge him down...

£250 All in one Camera - Specifically Panasonic DMCFZ18EBK

Hi fellow TP-toggers, I have a friend who is in the process of getting a new camera for general family / holiday shots and isn’t in the market for a fully fledged SLR but has been impressed by the reviews of this Panasonic camera. I was wondering if any of you out there in TP land have any...

where can i get one of those masks for flying on airliners?

Get one of those neck pillows too. I got a couple for me and the wife when we went to New Zealand and along with ear plugs and the face masks, it was snooze city - all this from an insomniac!

    Postal service

We just sent our broken pram back to the retailers in Devon and it took 7 days to be delivered on a guaranteed 2 day service. It did go via Newcastle from Cardiff which obviously makes sense :bonk: Don't you just love this country?
