Had my 7D2 for about a year now and don't regret getting it,I shoot a lot of Non League football and the shots I get paired with the 300mm f4 are a joy,for other subjects that electronic spirit level is a godsend

Thanks for the replies guys I just fancy trying something different and to be honest the Sigma doesn't have a very good hit rate under iffy lights so I might bight the bullet and get a 135,if I buy second hand i shouldn't lose to much if it doesn't work out

If you only need 6400 there will be a major jump in quality from the 50D ,at the end of the day it's the age old get your hands on one have a play and if it feels right then buy it
