    If you know what you want, and take the time to check out the seller, there is nothing wrong with buying off Ebay. Half my lights, and most of my accessories were bought off Ebay with no problems at all.

    I would second the Elinchrom D-Lites. Even though they are not cheap, they are high quality units. The accesssories aren't cheap, but you can buy second-hand with confidence as they are built to last for years (I have bought loads of Ebay for my studio.

    Hi What you have is, I believe, a transluscent deflector (http://www.theflashcentre.com/elinchrom-translucent-deflector-with-rod-i249.html) for use with Elinchrom softboxes. Hope that helps.

    If the standard lens is the 50mm, it will be fine for your needs (as you are on a tight budget and decent alternative lenses would be hundreds of pounds).
