Morning all. I've not been on here for ages.
Having been a long time hobbyist tog I decided to take it further.
I was getting a bit tired of working as someone else's slave and when I moved out of the county I took it as an ideal opportunity to make a change.
After submitting some work and...
I was just gonna post this thread myself.
I'll just join in this one. I have a 30D, and the obvious choice of an upgrade would be the 7D. I did want the 5D MKII but I have quality EF-S lenses i'm more than happy with.
I also shoot lots of wildlife and Santa might be bringing me a Bigma for xmas...
I have the Tokina 11-16mm on my 30D and I find it better than the Canon 10-22mm.
All I found with the Canon, although I liked it was that it suffered from fringing quite badly. Something i've never had with the Tokina.
I shoot it at f5.6 most of the time and have never needed it to go more than...
How close do you want to get?
I bought the Canon 100mm f2.8 but sold it within a week as I can get twice as close to my subjects with the Raynox DCR-250 lens attatched to my 18-200mm.
I bought the Raynox for £40 on amazon, although it has limits and has restricted use I find it pretty damn good...
Cheers for that. Suppose the bonus of buying the f2.8 IS then is that you can get a 400mm f5.6 out of it too. Hmm. Not sure now, i'd have liked to use it as a 400mm at times but f8 is gonna need lots of light.
Decisions.
Just found these lenses new on Warehouse Express for £475.
I had planned to get a teleconvertor but if i used to 2x Canon on this f4 lens what would that convert my aperture to, and how do you work it out.
Anyone know if there's anything I should look for, fault-wise in this lens? It did all...
I got it wrong actually, code is UX0619 making it June 2009. The collar is a genuine one, I've seen the price of them and know they aren't cheap. He mentioned a £370 price so I reckon he'd let me have it for £350.
