    Tripods etc

I'D probably be better with the DSLR ones as no doubt i will upgrade to a Canon/Nikon someday and the Fuji seems alot heavier than most compacts.

    Tripods etc

I saw them on holiday in Rhodes and was contemplating getting one. They were 18.70. Wish I'd got one now. Are they sturdy enough? Also they will be fine with my Fujifilm S1500

    Aviation Photgraphy

I think my main problem is i don't have enough experience in photography just yet and could do with some inspiration and learn the basics before commiting myself to a DSLR. I got te Fuji in January this year and have used it probably 3/4 times, mainly due to lack of inspiration really. I...

    Aviation Photgraphy

I mean i got the Fuji because i didn't really fancy lugging a DSLR everywhere, but for Aviation i will be in the car or bike so it can go in the boot etc. Don't want to spend a Huge amount ***, probably £500 max and to include a suitable lens for Aviation. Would something like a Sony Alpha...

    Aviation Photgraphy

Yeah was using the viewfinder as i find it much easier than using the live view/lcd screen. The ISO was set at 64 as it was really sunny with the sun behind me and the camera had set the Aperture to f4.0 Couldn't get it to track the plane with auto focus as it was quite laggy when pressing...

    Aviation Photgraphy

Basically i'm big into spotting at Manchester Airport and taking photos of the Aircraft there. Now i currently have a Fuji S1500 which i use which seems fine for taking pictures of bikes and cars etc, but i find it quite difficult to get shots of moving Aircraft with it. Heres a pictue taken...

    Where do I start?

I'm only a beginner and have been trying my best with the AV mode and i think i'm getting the jist of throwing the background out of focus now. Still got alot to learn. Hoping to have a go at Long exposures at night soon. Enjoying the camera to, a Fujifilm S1500 :)

    Beginner Help

I'll have a good play when i get some daylight hours off work haha. Going to use the S1500 for a while until i feel confident enough and then buy a DSLR. I suppose the whole part of learning is just go get out there and practice what i have read in the books and on this forum.

    Beginner Help

I'll give that a whirl tomorrow and see how i get on. I was just using the optical zoom a short length so that may have something to do with it. I suppose the only way to get decent photos, is to get out there and practice?

    Beginner Help

Hello from Sunny Bolton :wave:Anyway onto the questions, i purchased a Fujifilm S1500 as a means of starting out in photography and before making the big step onto a DSLR later this year (hopefully) anyway have been fiddling the camera and mainly using it on auto modes. Now i've bought a...
