    Eye For Photography

I think alot of what we call 'having an eye for a shot' is down to confidence. In the same way that confidence effects almost everything we try to achieve. It's not just about believing you have the ability to get the right shot but more about having the sheer bloody mindedness to obtain the...

    Car photography

I'm not a massive fan of the car myself but it belonged to a freind and he wanted some shots of it. He's got rid now though since getting in the family way.

    Car photography

Get yourself a circular polorizer filter to cut down on reflections like this: 18mm kit lens should be plenty wide enough though the shot above was taken with a sigma 10-20mm.

As for TG...

    Cropping photos

There are no rules to cropping, but i wouldn't resize upwards after as this would just have the effect of stretching the pixels.

    Nikon or not Nikon?

You could also consider a Fuji S2 Pro for a similar second hand price, i saw one body go for just over 100 quid not long ago (i was well ****ed off).

When do you become a "Photographer"

This reminded of another Tyler Durden quote: "Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken" I dont know if that is relevant to this discussion but it has always amused me.

    Photos of the paranormal!

Flash fired but long exposure caused the background to show through when the subject moved. Or aliens did it.

I'm really biting my tongue over this thread, i'm struggling to believe ordinarily sane people think oof dust particles are ghosts.

When do you become a "Photographer"

I think the problem is circumstantial, when someone else calls you a photographer you aren't obliged to correct them. When someone asks you what you are, they generally mean what do you do for a living. Finally, when describing what you love to do, i dont think it hurts to say you're 'into...
