Hi. The best ever sunset I have seen was taken in Exmouth , East Devon . It was taken from the edge of a cliff and was my pride and joy. Unfortunately my data card with it on was taken with my camera . But I am going back down there later in the year to try again.

I'd go for a max of 50mm but if you feel brave I would go for a 35mm. You would get stunning result with a 35mm. Hope this helps.

I have and use a Nikon D40 with a 300mm lens and I think this combination would be perfect for you

I would get a D90. They are going for a good price and you will get a better camera in the long run and the results will reflect this.
