Hi All,
i do a lot of live music photography as i manage a band and i hate using a flash for obvious reasons, however i cant seem to get the right balance between lighting and clarity.
i am not sure if it is my camera or my lack of experience.
i have a Nikon D7000 with the following lenses...
i have a hand made glass bauble with some lovely colours on a stand.
when you put a light behind it, it looks really nice.
i am trying to think of a way to light it so that it looks like it is glowing from inside.
i have tried a long exposure and flashing a light behind it but failed.
any...

thanks again

i have tried that but still looks the same, its like there are two different exposures.
is this just one of those things that most people have, but have learned to compensate it?
i tried searching for this but it kept bringing up a problem with the server.
why is it that pictures look great on a camera but when you upload them they are very dark, is there any way to fix this or tips to judging what is going to turn out ok?
thanks
