The site for Distortion Control Data Version 2 you have posted is linked directly from the firmware update for the D7100 so I'm guessing it must be legit. Just updated both on my D7100 and no ill effects yet.

Also got this for mine, does the job perfectly just a little bit fidely to install, had to try 3 times to get it without lifting on the edges. Not 100% as got a tiny bit of lift on one side but I can live with that for the moment.

I stand corrected then, I always thought the iPad wifi version did have gps and assumed (sorry) mine wouldn't be using wifi to get position. Seems it does.

Wifi only iPad's do have GPS, I have one and have used it for maps, etc perfectly fine. Also, if you want data access while out and about just use your iPhone as a hot spot (if you have one that is).

On the iPad you to press the Download link to download it to the iPad, otherwise it just streams it over the net when you are connected.
