Replacement battery for Rebel T2i (550D)

I've noticed that most of the replacement batteries on ebay for the Rebel T2i (550D) are 7.4V, and not 7.2v as the genuine Canon batteries are, is this a concern? The mAh in most cases are the same at 1120. Brian

    Rebel T2i (550D) Impressive

Do I need to wait for a 60D? I don’t think so now. I have just recently purchased the Rebel T2i (550D) for my wife, this will be her third Rebel and never a problem. Her new T2i has amazing IQ, and as sharp as a tack, (blows away my 30D) and it’s on par with our son’s 50D, and no micro...

    Canon and Nikon Microadjustment

If this were true, then why do we not hear from anyone having trouble with their Canon Rebel XTi (500D) which is also 15mp. I also have a 30D with no problems, but concerned about the number of people having focusing issues with some of the newer Canon cameras. So at this time I've no intentions...

Can anyone recommend a lens for a group?

Hi Vic, I think you have enough suggestions regards what lens to use etc., but a word of caution, I have taken many team photo of young girls, and I would suggest you take along a female assistance should you need to make any kind of physical contact, it could lead to an unforeseen problem...

A visit to Canons factory pics

I'm afraid your wrong, I know the person who did this, and he is a Canon user (30D, 50D) but going to switch to Nikon, and I must say I agree. Brian

How long do you charge the battery for?

I read somewhere, that you should give it an extra 1 hour after the fully charged light comes on. I've done that for the longest time and always happy with how long it last. Brian

    17-40L

I would like to correct myself when I said the "40mm was not wide enough" I should have said not long enough. The Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4.5 Macro gives the wide angle I had with the Canon, but give that added length with the 70MM. Brian

    which 70-200 Lenses

I have not found this to be a problem, as you can always up your shutter speed or up the ISO. With newer cameras 800 ISO is not a problem. Brian

    which 70-200 Lenses

I also agree 100%, I have the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 EX DG Macro, and it's great. Brian

    17-40L

I've just sold my Canon 17-40mm (Great lens) but like many others the 40mm was not wide enough, so I purchased a Sigma 17-70mm, this also is a great lens and I get a lot more use from it. Brian

    Stofen Diffuser

Your 100% right about pricing. I just purchased 2 diffusers, one for my Canon 420EX and one for my 580EXII, got both for $10.00 Canadian, including shipping. Compared it with my son's STO-FEN and can't tell the difference. Purchased on ebay...
