    Nikon D3xxx owners thread

Hey all, recently bought my D3100 off *gold* and smitten with it :D Finding the button setup very simple to practice adjusting setting on the move, the function button being the ISO setting. Into street photography right now, so the lack of size and weight is an obvious plus point too. The...

    Uni, decisions decisions...

Joe man, many times have we discussed this eh? I'm gonna keep 'doing' photography (albeit with less goodness than you) whilst studying Graphic Design. I love it just as much as I love design, but don't see myself studying it (I'd probably get bored of it day-in-day-out) and I think job...

    Nikon D80 vs. D90

Ah right, cleared up now. I definitely want a D90, was just making sure I couldn't save myself some cash. That other thread is very useful, cheers. Why didn't I just use the search function... :bonk:

    Nikon D80 vs. D90

I had a go of a D80 earlier today and loved it, took some great photos and it felt really comfortable and intuitive. And I didn't mind that it was a tiny bit older than the current range at all. I was originally wanting a D90, but I don't see much that it has over the older D80 that...

    Budget for a beginners DSLR

Hi Mike, I'm also new here and a keen mountain biker myself :D And also, I have a Pentax (i-10) compact which I love, and I'm the same position as you regarding buying the first DSLR. I've found it beneficial to get a shot of some friends cameras, so I know the Canon 450D and Nikon D3100 (both...

    Buying first DSLR. Nikons

Thanks! I'm thinking my budget might allow for a second hand D90, I shall keep an eye on the Bay and also the classifieds in here, once I've posted 25 times haha.

    Buying first DSLR. Nikons

Okay cheers everyone :) For the moment I'm planning on using whatever lens comes with the camera until I learn more about lenses and decide what I want. D90 sounds like my best bet now, if it's got a motor for use with older lenses. I just hope it's available for that price come December...

    Buying first DSLR. Nikons

Oh and something that I'm a little concerned about is weather sealing. I used the Canon 450D in wind and rain in Glasgow a few times and it was fine (when I returned it to college haha), although I believe it doesn't have any protecting or sealing. How would the above mentioned cameras cope in...

    Buying first DSLR. Nikons

Hi all, I'm looking to buy my first DSLR this christmas, as I've been getting tired of the film development costs, being a student haha. The ones I'm interested in are the Nikon D3100 and the D90. I know they're a bit apart in the Nikon range, and I've done a fair bit of research on both...

    Awrite! from Glasgow

Hey all I'm Bradley, from Glasgow, been looking at the forum a while, thought it was about time to say hi. I use an old 80's Olympus SLR, 'cause I can't yet afford a DSLR haha. I'll be posting some of my pics up from time to time...
