I am still trying to get to grips with the basics, but I am struggling with something which might be down to beginner/user error.
I am using a canon 450d paired with a 50mm 1.4. When it goes well, the pics are lovely, but sometimes I feel that it is 'click & hope' and I don't get the...
How much have you tried to go out and learn by yourself? If you have, are you at a brick wall? I image the first semester will teach you the basics, but if you know it, surely a waste of time and money.
Will the syllabus be useful to you? Is it what you want to learn? That I guess will...

My wife and I are planning a photoshoot outdoors! in the city maybe! Hope we don't get laughed at! Actually, so what if we do! As long as we are having a good time (and we are not hurting anybody!) I don't really care!
Always nice to have shiny new stuff, but if you don't know how to use it, whats the point? Surely there are better things in this world to spend disposable income on!

I am a box keeper as well. Just for me though! I will always know that it is 'complete!'...sounds odd, but in a round about way, I paid for that box. So, technically it is mine! And that is why I keep it!
Google 1st aid repairs. I used them recently to fix my 50mm 1.4. They came in at about half of what canon/fixation wanted! Good service as well.

What is noise? I have seen a few threads about reducing it and seen a few reviews about a camera preforming betting at higher ISO with less noise etc but what is noise? What am I looking for?
Any pics to explain?
