    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

Thanks.. this is a clone of the TC80N3 which I loved on EOS, but then passed it on since my EOSR6ii cannot accept the 3-pin plug without an adapter (which I don't want). I'd have the same problem with your unit. There are plenty options around that do work, I'm just curious to hear if anybody...

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

Along a similar line.. I'm considering getting a 3rd party intervalometer. Have always had the Canon TC80N3 but passed it on to my son when I changed to mirrorless. The setup via the R6ii menu is too fiddly tho, so . Recommendations welcome :)

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

Appreciate the assistance, but no Phil, I need not touch any camera button. Lens IS activates, unless deactivated on the lens, as soon as the camera is turned on; then stays activated. Nostromo seems to experience this too.

I'm aware.. it does not solve my issue.

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

Hello All.. Has anyone else noticed odd (well, different from my SLR bodies) behaviour from a R6ii + EF telephoto lens, in that the lens IS does not deactivate even after 10minutes? 1. Switch off R6ii 2. Mount EF 300/2.8 or EF 800 and switch lens IS to On 3. Switch on R6ii and don't touch...

Pan and tilt or ball head?

In my case short lenses go on a ball head, but long glass - for birds in flight and action in general - goes on this:

Canon RF lens for travel recommendations

One more view? A zoom lens will sure give you more flexibility. Dare I say, a prime will give you amazing memories ;) The 50 is a fantastic lens. If you could trust yourself to get by with it, you'll probably post here after the trip how you've a new all time favourite! A wide 35 could do the...

    Canon R6ii eith EF lenses

Tim, objectively, would you have been worse off by keeping the EF? I've had such great service & joy from both the EF 35ii and 135 over the years that its hard to imagine being happier with the RF's. (I think I know the final answer re the 35, but on the fence re 135.)

    Canon R6ii eith EF lenses

Mossberg, I've a R6ii now after using a 1Dx for ca. 10 years. Excellent tech advances (though downsizing bodies presents a challenge eg I frequently move dials & buttons unintentionally.) Anyways, on lenses: - Short stuff - my old EF travel kit was a 16-35/4 + 35/1.4ii + 135/2 and my...

    Canon cameras autofocus

Not aware of any online index. My experience.. have used a 1Dx for more than a decade and got to know it extremely well ie I believe I've managed to extract the very best ito its AF abilities - from a birds in flight perspective. Recently, my wife got an R8. For fun, I fitted it to my birding...

I finally found a use for cruise control.

ACC works a charm, IMO a great improvement over regular CC. For the last 3 decades though, I've found that any and all forms of speed control eventually succumbed to the PFO system - Passenger Freaking Out ;D

    Wine chiller query?

That's correct. Best switch if off in winter. Fridges / freezers / coolers nowadays cannot function if the ambient temperature drops too low.

Which Canon RF lenses are significant upgrades to EF?

Tim, while I'm no expert on RF lenses, looking at the available prime alternatives at the wider end, the line still seems sparsely filled with pro quality glass - perhaps it's only the RF 50/1.2L which could challenge your existing lineup (but I don't know if the FL suits you.) Maybe some forum...

    First camera and latest camera

    All Canon EOS, starting some 30y ago: 1000FN --> 5QD --> 3 --> 10D --> 50D --> 40D --> 7D --> 5Dii --> 1Div --> 1Dx Just realising I'm shooting 1Dx for 11 years already.. Def a personal best but I know it so well, and it's still a better camera than I'm a photographer. Next up.. probably adding...
