F4 is much more compact and lighter than the 2.8 and produces great images. Wouldn't bother with 70-300 on a D850 personally.

Yes I was trying to point out that you be of no more a disadvantage using this lens on your Z50 anymore than you would be on a DSLR as these don't have in body IS either.

You won't get any IS but as above you wouldn't really need unless shooting under 1/75sec or an unsteady hand, you would not get any IS shooting this lens on any Nikon DSLR and most use these lenses on this format.
