Photoshop Closing down when using Nik Software

It's caused by the software update. I found this on the Adobe community https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2406666 when it happened to me. Adjust the settings on Nik as shown below and open a duplicate layer BEFORE working with Nik. It's cumbersome but it works.

    Hiring a 300mm lens

Bit of lateral thinking? I needed a 300mm last year and faced the same dilemma. I thought about renting, and although the cost wasn't as bad as I expected, it meant going into a major event using a lens for the first time, and that worried me no end. I then looked at 2nd hand and reckoned that...

    ISO v Aperture for quality

My two cents.., hope it helps Athletics, broadly speaking, seems to follow two main shots - Freeze or Pan, with the former being the most common. Edingburgh

The camera obscura at the top of the Royal Mile gives an intersting and different look at the city. Been there loads and enjoy it every time. You could head down the Grassmarket & Cockburn Street as well for some fairly unique street views. Hope you have a good visit.

    Iceland

Gulfoss waterfall is stunning, and can be accessed from above without too much walking. Geyser as well. The coast itself is stunning through, so you won't be stuck for locations. Why not try the search function on Flickr to search for suitable shots? Akureyri in the north is a fair old drive...

    Knockhill Racing Circuit

Never mind rain...prepare for everything...!! It's a good circuit though, and you can get to the inside as well, which with a 200 will give you some interesting shots. Enjoy..!!

    Joby Gorilla Pod

I use the SLR version and it goes everywhere with the camera in case I get a "damm, wish I had a tripod" moment. Fiddly to set up, but a useful bit of kit.
