Pins move freely and lock NOT engaged. No visible signs of damage. Just very, VERY stiff.

Yesterday evening I noticed that I almost had to "force" my flash gun (SB-800) on to my camera's hot shoe (D90). Is there any safe lubricant I can use to make it slide in more easily?

I know that from CS2 onwards, Photoshop has a lens distortion filter for "correcting" shots taken with UWAs... ... is there a similar filter/plug-in for Aperture2 users? I've looked/Googled everywhere but so far I've not been able to find anything.
