Thanks guys, I manged to work both of them out :)
If bulb setting and holding down as long as I want to exposure for is the only way of getting the time I need do I need a extra device for the camera like a lead which I can press instead of the camera. I am wanting to do astro-photography...
I did it. You'll regret it if not. Aslong as you keep it close and secure you be fine. Thoses diagonal across your shoulder bags are good, very hard to rip off.
This may seem like a really basic problem but I'm having such trouble figuring it out. I have a Nikon D3000.
Two questions really:
Firstly,
I want to take pictures of the night sky, when I read up about it it talks about 10-15minutes exposures, however when I set my camera to manual mode...
Im on the wilkinsons site and Im looking for a 18mm-200mm sigma lens for D3000 and also a 10mm-20mm both AF and OS. Why do none of them have both? you'll find the one you want but the it wont have one feature do they do this on purpose?

Why is this one so cheap. Is it because its doesnt have vibration reduction?

This one appears to have autofocus and vibration reduction is this right. I'm used to the terms, AF and VR, but OS and HSM are the same right?
This one doesn't seem to have OS mode though. Hmm. I'm after one which has Auto focus and OS/VR mode also. ALso it seems considerably cheaper than either of the other two, would this be because it doen'st have OS?
