Sony Zeiss 35mm 1.4. Worth buying?

A great lens. But the crop makes it less wide on my A7Riii. I prefer a 35 for video.

‘Perfectly fine lens’ You make it sound so average as a lens! But your photos speak rather differently....

Sony Zeiss 35mm 1.4. Worth buying?

I should of mentioned cost. Yes the GM is a better lens but it also is a very expensive lens, even used.I would love one! The Zeiss just seems a tad more in my budget. Do you like the Zeiss by the way?

Sony Zeiss 35mm 1.4. Worth buying?

I have researched the issues these can have with soft edges but to be honest I doubt i would notice. I just love 1.4. Not interested...

Which PC / laptop / Mac?

Mac every time....for photo editing and video that is. You just FOCUS on creativity - period. Which its all about? No worring about drivers, malware, viruses and crashing. Yes a windows machine is faster, a lot faster in a lot of ways, but the mac OS is just so good and uncomplicated and just...

GH4, Speedbooster and Canon FD. What adapter do i need to work?

Ok. I understand. So basically I would have to buy the specific Metabones FD speed booster if I wanted to use vintage lenses. It's not such a problem as the chrome nose only cost £30. The only reason I wanted to use the lens was because the Sigma 18-35 f1.8 with the Speedbooster was a little...

Has your love of photography spoilt your appreciation of pictures?

Memories and 'feelings' are easily lost in the digital age. And that's a shame. A lot of images on forums are about the technical aspect and we can forget the soul and proper emotion of a picture.

Are black and white photos considered more artistic? Why?

Black and white has 'generally' been more accepted as 'Arty' by the 'establishment' I personally LOVE Black and White as its timeless. But it can be soooo up its own Arse depending who has a view on it - usually the 'establishment'......
