I should of mentioned cost. Yes the GM is a better lens but it also is a very expensive lens, even used.I would love one! The Zeiss just seems a tad more in my budget. Do you like the Zeiss by the way?
I have a Sigma 85mm 1.4 which is fantastic for those lush portraits. But I need an ‘everyday’ 1.4. Looking at a used Zeiss 35mm 1.4. Are they a good lens in 2021? I have researched the issues these can have with soft edges but to be honest I doubt i would notice. I just love 1.4. Not interested...

Memories and 'feelings' are easily lost in the digital age. And that's a shame. A lot of images on forums are about the technical aspect and we can forget the soul and proper emotion of a picture.
Black and white has 'generally' been more accepted as 'Arty' by the 'establishment' I personally LOVE Black and White as its timeless.But it can be soooo up its own Arse depending who has a view on it - usually the 'establishment'......
