    Choose me A Car..

Get yourself the soon to be launched Peugeot RCZ - I think its gorgeous. I love Audi TTs but I think the RCZ looks more unique and distinctive and will save you a bit of money !

I have joined the canon world

It is the best decision that you will ever make ;) My first DSLR was a 400D, moved to a 40D (still got), then a 5D MkII. All of them have been great cameras and I would NEVER consider using anything else! Enjoy it, I'm sure you will.

    Using Tri-pods

I find that my 50mm F1.8 II is not so sharp on my MK2. You will find that you have to spend some money on more expensive lenses to get the most of the image quality. I changed all my lenses to Canon L lenses.

The 2010 Talk Photography Calendar thread (closing date amended)

This is one of my personal favourites from this year. A morning never to forget.

    Landscape photo of the year.

If you look at the last couple of years winning and commended pictures - alot of them are HDR. If done well, then why not - its when they are overcooked that they don't look right.

I have 2 4GB mymemory CF cards and a 8GB card and never had any problems and I use them all the time. I've had them about a year.

    canon 17-40 f4 L on a 5D Mark II

I wouldn't give up either of these lenses out of my kit. Both are excellent. I use the 24-105 for landscapes just as much as the 17-40 as the extra reach comes in handy sometimes.

    canon 17-40 f4 L on a 5D Mark II

I have this combo and have had no noticeable problems. I'm very happy with the lens AND the camera and the results I get from both. I suffered some vignetting when using my Cokin filters, but I've since upgraded to Lee filters and not had any problems. Hope this helps.:)

Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS VS Sigma 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 AF APO DG OS

I've had the Canon 100-400 L lens for two months and its hardly been off my camera. Its brilliant - its so sharp and teamed with my 5D Mk II its awesome. Focus is quick and quiet. I always believe you get what you pay for and that's certainly the case with the 100-400. I can't recommend...

    5d Mark II owners club...

Had mine a month and absolutely LOVE IT ! Got the body with the 24-105L lens from Cameraworld. The quality of the pictures are awesome. The detail is fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone.

    Photobooks

I have used Photobox and Myphotobook for my photobooks. Photobox are cometitively priced and I was pleased with mine. Then I used Myphotobook and despite slow delivery the overall quality of the pages, the images and the whole book were far superior. Slightly more expensive but they often...

    400d

I upgraded from 400D to 40D and being a woman was concerned that the extra weight would be uncomfortable for me - in fact it was the complete opposite. Fits much better in the hand (so to speak!) and due to the extra weight, when shooting hand held, I had less issues of camera shake.

What's your favourite lens for Landscapes and why?

As I'm thinking of upgrading to full frame I was wondering about the 16-35L lens for wide-angle landscapes. Do any of you use this? I've heard mixed reports about the 17-40L lens - not being as sharp as it could be.

    First SLR, 1000d or 450d?

I personally would go for the 450D. You say that you would not a use all the features on it - but i bet you as the bug bites, you'll want to try everything. My first DSLR was the Canon 400D and I learnt a great deal using it and getting to know all its features before moving onto the 40D.
