It's bound to have a dodgy cleaning mechanism if it is as good as canon's (I would assume it is). I've had my canon for 3 years and never had to clean the sensor, and I pretty much change lens whenever I want, done it on beaches and everything.

I'm very pleased with my AFD360, the only noticeable draw backs are the slow recharge time and all plastic build. The slow charge time doesn't bother me at all as I rarely use continuous shooting.
