    Your eBay strategy when bidding

I whack my maximum in with a few seconds to go unless it has gone over what I want to pay. I always set myself a maximum though.

    Compact camera advice

I have a Samsung EX1 and it's a pretty decent camera if you're on a budget although the Canon S95 is admittedly much better. The EX1 is portable but has a sturdy metal body, nice bright f1.8 wide angle lens, good big clear screen on it which is tiltable and handy for tilting it away from the sun...

£500 budget - what camera? (doesn't need to be dslr)

:agree: I love my D40 too. I bought a Samsung EX1 recently to replace my Canon G9 which died and I am very pleased with it. Samsung isn't really a make I would have thought of before but it's a great camera, has a big clear tiltable screen (handy to angle it away from the sun if you've no VF)...

    Canon G9 Problems

Yes I have had the same problem with mine over the weekend. :( I used it on Friday and then when I went to try and review my images it just won't power up at all. I 'googled' the problem and it seems there are lots of G9 owners in the same scenario. Needless to say I am unhappy as it is only 2...

    Hiking with a camera.

I use a mountain bike lumbar pack and it's handy as I don't have to get my rucksack down to get to my camera. It's a bit like a bum bag  only bigger. Not the best look but does the job!
