My new car (for today anyway!)

I had a very nice 535 Sport (1 down from the M5 IIRC) about 10years ago, I also put in £2k worth of ICE and had 17" Racing Dynamics alloys fitted. It was so nice to drive, a little too nice actually, and it wasn't until I submitted my accounts that I realised I'd spent £6k on fuel just driving...

    Domains with numbers?

I use 1&1 Internet for domain registrations and a US hosting company called HostGator 1&1 are cheap for the domains and have an easy to use control panel to administer them, but I've read their customer service is not very good, which is why I hosted elsewhere. Hostgator use a huge company to...

Epson Takes Action against 24 Aftermarket Ink Cartridge Companies

My Canon iP4000 has a separate print head which needs inserting before the cartridges when you first use it, AFAIK Epson don't have that so how can they be the same? I don't use or recommend Epson printers anymore despite how good the reviews might be, because they fail too regularly and cost...

Photoshop CS2 for Photographers - Martin Evening

I got the CS2 version of Martin Evening's book a few weeks back, and it's already helped me a few things. I've also got the Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers which is just as useful. Both very worthwhile buys for us PS noobs :D

Raw Shooter Essentials Is No 1

Have you tried using S7RAW? It supports Fujifilm finepix S7000/S5000/S20pro/S2pro/F810/F710/F700/E550/S5500/S5100 and S3pro and produces better results than the Fuji software offers. It'll also allow you to view the RAW files as thumbnails (just as you would JPG's etc.), I use it for my Fuji...

Which internet browser do you use?

Also the memory usage is considerably lower with FF & tabs... 1x Firefox browser with 10x TPF tabs (all same) uses 74Mb :icon_cool 10x IE browsers (TPF) of 1x 16Mb & 9x 21MB = approx 205Mb :nono: FF also saves your bookmarks in the order you have them, and then imports them in that order if...

    Car Charger for EOS 20D

What about an invertor? Much more flexible than just buying a different car charger for each item. 12v DC to 150w/300w/600w mains from £19.99 @ Maplins I bought the 150w version a couple of years ago, and still use it loads from charging up my mobile, batteries & my laptop.

Which internet browser do you use?

Netscape 8 might also be worth a look once they get it stable :whistling I like the per tab feature of choosing between Firefox or IE rendering, which save having to use IE at all :thumb: Basically it works very similarly to Firefox (it uses the FF engine), so it should do well.

    Churches

Good lighting is essential, so try and go when it's sunny, and obviously several visits might need to be made at various times of the day to get the sunlight coming through the stained glass windows. A monopod/tripod will help, but ask if they'll be ok to use, otherwise just try out the higher...

    Wings & Things Airshow

Well if you do make, I'll make it a point to say hi at least. Last year's show was waaaay better than the RIAT offering, and hopefully this years will be no exception.

    Wings & Things Airshow

at Woodchurch near Ashford on Sunday. I've just been rather cheeky, and asked them if they have any practice sessions that I could attend, and have been invited along on Saturday. They used some of my photos from last years show (taken on a Fuji S7000), and I asked the above so that I...
