Amen, I got shut of mine and was thinking of getting something nearer 30mm to be honest but will see where I go with that in the future.

The other thing with a 50 is the lack of ability to zoom which at an event is a requirement in my opinion plus you can't get up nice and close either. I never use anything longer than my 17-40 to be honest.

Aye a girl I know shoots events with a 400D and an 18-55 and gets some great results. I didn't get the 11-16 for this sort of stuff but it is a very handy piece of glass if you are close up and it is great wide open.

Depends how close you can get but I use my Tokina 11-16 for a lot of stuff I do at events. Works well for me.

I use 661 Comp Gloves as I am on my bike a lot when out taking photos and these have great feel as they are not too thick and my shutter fingertip has a nice grippy bit on.

Depends what you want really but I settled for a Manfrotto 488RC2 Ball head on mine as I like the freedom of movement with a ball head and the fact I don't have to fiddle with lots of controls like I did when I had a 3 way head.

Try using one of the letters on here. They have never failed me yet with things that have failed after their warranty period.

My guess is if the guy has just got a 7D then he isn't looking at full frame just yet. My advice, as always, would be for the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 cos it is a beast.
