Looking at buying the following lens but happens to be £2-£300 cheaper here than some other online sellers. Am I right to be suspicious or should I I click on buy it now ...

I bought my D750 last year and bought a 70-200 2.8 VR lens. I have just also bought the 28-70 2.8 VR lens but it doesn't seem to get the rave reviews I was expecting or is that just from the hypercritical ?

I have a strange problem. I have a D750 which functions correctly. I use mostly a 80-200 2.8 lens which functions correctly on the D750, I have recently bought a 28-70 2.8 lens which will only focus manually despite camera and lens being set to auto focus and the aperture ring locked at 22...

Using a 1.7 Tele convertor on an 80-200 2.8 zoom lens, I noticed that when the camera is set to 'M' I could only pre-set the aperture and not the speed but without the tele convertor I could do either ? Is this a quirk of a TC or is it the camera protecting itself ?

I'm looking for a good 77mm filter for the front of a lens, not needed for any special effects but to protect the lens. Ive seen the £1 ones on ebay but guess they are not what I'm looking for ? Any online shop suggestions ?

As a beginner I'm curious to know what the first steps others take as an alternative to 'Auto' settings. If I try to experiment with more than one thing I will probably get totally confused. Having said this I still have to learn what all the buttons and switches do on the lens and body.

Treated myself to a cheapy one on Ebay to see how I get on.
