There's not much between the 50mm 1.8G and 1.4G....in fact I think there's some opinion the 1.8 is a better lens all round. IIRC The Mansurovs did quite an in depth comparison on them.
My kids (Aged 4 and 6) watch a film or something similar as chill out time at bedtime or perhaps after school if they are tired for half an hour. I would say they normally watch TV for 30 mins maybe 60 mins absolute max per day....rest of the time they are playing. We were away from the UK over...
I experimented with this at my daughter's nativity play last week.....using my D750, 70-200 VR II and an external Rode mic. Was pretty happy with the quality in what was fairly low light. I'd agree on the AF....has to be manual focus. I'd love an external screen/monitor as I think this would...
Honestly I don't know...I am thinking something like Amazon Glacier knowing it's expensive if you actually need it!
I'll want to back up my media as the thought of re-ripping it once it's done just doesn't bear thinking about!
I'm looking at getting at least 12TB of storage....my iMac's hard drive is currently approaching 2.5 TB and is backed up onto an external hard drive.
That is mostly video of my kids, my photo's and music.
When I get a NAS I want to rip all my Bluray's/DVD's so I can play them in 1080p and...
Been doing a bit of reading myself on this....seems like Synology has the better interface/operating system and QNAP has the better spec device....at least at the four bay NAS's I have been looking at.
I think I need a four bay just because of the amount of data I can see me having.....I need...
I saw someone with his iphone playing a video whilst propped up against the instrument binacle this evening....he was driving in stop/start traffic on Park Lane. I was in a cab...
I've had a couple of people take photo's of my kids in the local park which I don't mind admitting I've taken exception to (they were 2 or 3 years old at the time). One was a woman who point blank denied she'd done so even though I'd seen her following us...which made me even more...
Yes I've read that, the fact is gthat the repairers don't want it and as far as I am concerned that is what counts. It's a moot point really as buying grey still means you get a warranty card.
In answer to your question as to who determines who a recognised camera retailer is as far as I can...
That's not true at least not with the two Nikon authorised repair centres I checked with in the UK before I bought my lens. What you do need is a receipt issued by a recognised camera retailer in your name I.e. Not a bloke selling lenses on eBay. Both repair centres said all they needed to...

Not sure which manufacturer but Nikon lenses have a worldwide warranty so grey imports as suggested above are great value and no different from buying UK stock. I bought my 70-200 from HDEW a couple of years ago for less than people were paying for used lenses on here. That said I have bought a...
I have a four and a six year old...I am a strong believer in giving my kids opportunities and let them make their own minds up.
I am not religious but my mother is very religious...I went to church every weekend until I was maybe 12 or 13 and then refused to go. Did it do me any harm ? Not at...
