    Canon 24-70 vs 24-105

Thanks for your responses. I was debating with myself if I would be happy with f4 to get the larger range or if f2.8 was more important than cost and range. I was also wanting some comparison on quality if someone had tried both but after reading up on it and also after getting some feedback...

    Canon 24-70 vs 24-105

Probably a much asked or discussed question. But I am in the process of upgrading my Sigma 24-70 2.8 to one of the above. My initial feeling is to go with the 24-70 due to f2.8 vs the 24-105 which is f4. I mainly photograph children and families and I do work quite a bit on the 2.8...

    Photo52 2010 - Join Us

I am also doing a 52 project through Flickr Focus 52 but thought it would be fun to join here too. I did put my name down but appear to have missed the list. I am currently on wk2 and I am not working on a fixed theme so not sure how that fit in with the project run through this site.

    Some flash advice

Can anyone tell me of any good places to buy second hand flash. I really want the 580ex ii but too expensive second hand. If that fails I will just get the 430 ex ii. Maybe ask if there is a huge advantage in getting the 580 instead of the 430. Thanks

    60D or 7D

I think you can buy the most fantastic camera body but if you don't have the lens to match there is no point buying an expensive body in my opinion. So as I did back in March, I opted for 50D and have rather put the extra cash into a good lens. If money was no object then def go for the 7D...

    Broke/Damaged my lens

Last weekend I tripped over the coffee table and my camera went flying off. It was wearing the Sigma 24-70 2.8, the most expensive lens in my bag. Needless to say I nearly started crying. The lens body cracked in the area where the manual autofocus button is. At first it would not work but...

    Photoshop Elements vs CS

Just a general question for discussion. I edit my photos in Photoshop Lightroom and Photoshop Elements 6. But I often wonder if working in Elements rather than CS is setting me back. Is there a huge difference between the two and are edits more effective in CS. I was wondering...
