I just got that email from eBay too. I was on a rush last week to get one but as I haven’t actually been out with the camera yet, despite the snow, I may as well have waited and got it cheaper o_O

I’ve seen on the Fuji road map that there will be a 200mm f2 (300ish mm equivilent) that could open up some options for sport.

Certainly for indoor and confined spaces, I’d prefer a 35mm equivalent rather than a 50. The 23mm pairs really nicely with a 56mm. Classic combo. My 1.4 is a bit noisy and isn’t as fast focusing as my Nikon stuff, but still fine for events coverage etc.

Happy Christmas. Here’s one of our tree, taken with the 23mm f1.4.

As it’s the one-piece version (the two-piece I wanted not being available), it stopped just short of the battery door on the bottom, so full access just as normal.

Sunwayfoto PFLO-XT2 by James Bull, on Flickr My L bracket arrived at last. In case anyone else is interested, or if Google indexes it, the PFLO-XT2 can mount vertically with the Canon RS-60E3 remote.

An ex sports photographer, and while I have changed what I shoot lately and sold off my long fast Nikon lenses, there’s really nothing comparable in the Fuji lens range. I do like the look of the 100-400 but it doesn’t seem comparable to the typical pro offering in that range.

That's really great. Perhaps the structure centre bottom of the frame is a bit in the way, but I find the image very captivating.

    Paying for membership of RPS

This is the distinction I guess. They are as much a product of the membership as they are qualifications, whereas my degrees, certifications, etc are the latter.

Likewise. And likewise! I can't say as I'd looked in to it too greatly, aside deciding a direction I'd like to take, but that does seem odd. Edit: yep, that is the case.

As opposed to a mirrorless lens? I hadn't given much thought to construction differences. I'm not terribly convinced by going off brand, much less involving adapters. I'd be looking for a wide angle to be able to use my XT2 for the paid gigs, which mostly involve getting the majority of an...

I'd love a prime at the wide end of the 10-24 scale. 14 and 16 just aren't wide enough when I'm used to a 16 on full frame.
