Thanks for all the replies guys. Decision made tonight. All current gear sold. 700D with Sigma 18-250 ordered. I feel that this way I have decent quality equipment still. A good sized sensor. And if I do miss the 100-400L I can just pick another one up.

If this is your first dslr I honestly thikn you will be more than happy with the 700D. I myself have just sold all my L lenses and my 50D and tonight have ordered a 700D. Unless you know how to extract everything out of the camera then I don't personally feel you will see the benefit of the...

They don't really fit the bill for me to be honest. Your looking at £1000 for the body then need lenses. I might as well keep the 50D.
