I will be very wary as electronic devices can include DSLRs and I would never trust mine to the vagaries of the baggage handling staff.. means avoiding certain parts of the world I guess. If I did then I would need cover from a bespoke camera gear insurer to get even close to relaxing
I would love a Canon 70-200 or even a 5d mkIII but chances are slim.. mind you I love my 6D and I have a few L lenses so I should stop lusting and start shooting!

Absolutely! I agree 100%. This is always happens to me and so, as well as having a good pro DSLR, I also have a canon EOS M3 mirrorless which is easier to carry and fetch out at such times.. I don't want to fall into that "Oh I will just use my iPhone" trap
Aperture and shutter priority are the first step away from full auto and they are a big step as in understanding them, you are then
able to plan a shot properly

I can second that... I think that the Creative Cloud package is excellent and a necessary annual expense.. All the new improvements to both programs are instantly available and when the renewal comes round I usually find a good deal with a prepaid card for the years subs on eBay and save a few...
If you are working with a cracked version you are only fooling yourself as it will be limited and out of date very quickly.. The latest, very useful, developments to PS CC
are making it a much more useful piece of software IMHO
This is great as now I can take the iPad on my holiday cruise this year and do some preliminary raw edits before backing them up onto the mypassport wireless drive....
