Excellent. Works well for the theme and shows the structure of the down really well.

As has been said the patterns in the mud are shown up well by the b&w. I noticed the bird just above the bottom edge of the photo has a nice reflection showing. It looks like there might have been some opportunities for some zoomed in shots as well.

Yes, it is interesting how they look like giant cotton buds rather than a close up photo of ordinary sized ones. Gary, I really liked your 'hard' photo from last week as well.

Simple is good if it works and the many comments on the lighting show that it did work well. Very effective.

The arrangement of items in your soft entry is excellent. The frond that bends out to the left balances the extra items to the right. Also some nice soft lighting for the theme.

The way the snow drapes over the leaves emphasises the softness. I don't think I have had snow here for a few years now. A few frosty nights and the occasional hail shower is about all we get.

1:5.2 ratio. I wonder how that compares to my old touring bike with a 3x9 setup. It is probably bigger just off the rear block. The simplicity of having it all in one is appealing.

Interesting image. As others have said, 'What is it?'. I have been trying to work it out from the shadows and lighting but haven't managed to yet.
