Please - I can see its impossible for me to use the monopod alone and I think i'm starting to understand wht you're doing with the mount problem is, I want is for DSLRs too! So wouldn't work with them :)

Thanks, I'll read a few reviews! Well when travelling I think I would definitely benefit from one but what usually happens is I see, I want, I buy and then hardly use. :(

I'm not too sure really, I'd never really thought about it but now I'm thinking more prime. I'll look at the suggested lenses and read some reviews - thanks for the suggestions.

I'm after a telephoto lens for my Canon 60D but I'm not sure how much I'll benefit from having one. I shoot people (mainly kids) and cars, then when I'm travelling I shoot everything really. I have a budget of £600, are there any good lenses out there for this budget or is it worth me holding...
