    Lightroom Synchronize Folder Strange Behaviour

Solved - at some point my user folder on the computer had changed from ForenameSurname to forenamesurname, and the change in capitalisation had confused Lightroom. Forced it to relocate the image folders and all is fine!

    Lightroom Synchronize Folder Strange Behaviour

Thanks for replying Steve, as stated in my post though, the image locations on the hard drive haven't changed, and as a quick trial, if I move one of the folders from where it should be on the hard drive, it is quick enough to flag up those images which are affected (missing folder/file icons).

    Lightroom Synchronize Folder Strange Behaviour

Hi All, Getting some strange behaviour in Lightroom and hoping someone can suggest what might have caused it... I've searched around online and can't find anything that matches. Using Lightroom Classic, I upgraded from Lightroom CS6 just over a month ago. When upgrading the catalogue was...

MacBook spec for video editing ?

You will struggle with 4K on a machine that old I think, see the following link to the gopro site explaining compatibility with newer formats. https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/hevc

    Beginner iCloud help!!

Alternatively you can use separate catalogue software to import your camera photos, rather than adding them to your Photos library, or create your own folder structure. I leave iCloud alone to do it's thing syncing images between iPhone/iPad/MacBook as these are quick snaps that I may wish to...

Recommend me a "Pick Pocket Proof" shoulder bag

Check out the Peak Design range - something like the Every day sling. The pull tabs on the zips ‘unbutton’ and can be looped securely around an anchor point in the bag which prevents it from being pulled open. It’s not infallible, but you’d definitely notice someone trying to undo one whilst...

    Ball heads

I’ve got the slightly larger FLM CB-38 FT and as you’ve said, it’s a great bit of kit, very well made and very secure when tightened. Mine is on a set of Manfrotto 055 legs.

    Street photography problem

Similar to what others have suggested about lining up a shot and waiting for someone to enter, I remember a tip from somewhere suggesting to keep your camera raised to your eye for longer. Taking a picture and immediately dropping the camera from your eye, particularly if nervous and rushing...

    Photography Show 2018

32GB Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC (95mb/s) for £16.50, along with another capacity (higher I think) also on offer. They did have some CF card offers but I'm afraid I didn't pay much attention as I bought a couple previously and didn't need more.

    Photography Show 2018

It didn't feel as if there were as many stands of interest this year, perhaps I was just looking for less! That said, Cameraworld had good prices on Sandisk cards, and I picked up a Peak Design bag too. I was very tempted by the new Sigma Art 14-24 F/2.8, it felt lovely during a demo from...

    Landscape Lenses

I'd be really tempted to keep the 35mm then knowing how much I loved mine and trade in the 18-250 for the UWA and make do without a longer end for the time being?
