We just bought these new Bowens gemini monolights. We were using the modelling lamp and after about 5 minutes of it on full power it started to smoke - picture below to show how much, though there was a bit more than what you can see there. We thought it might just be paint burning off...

I don't believe so. Not most studios anyway, I'd have thought (could be wrong though). You can rent cameras from places such as Calumet though.

Er...am I missing something here? I don't really know much about artificial lighting but colour temperature info doesn't seem like something that should be kept a secret to me... why shouldn't individuals give information about it? Sorry if it's obvious.
