Unfortunately they are mounted - kept in a dust free environment but a few years old now... quite a few years - I've had a dslr since '04 - eek!

thanks all - over the years I have bought scanners and started the project myself, but I'm flat out with other projects, and travel a lot so for me to do it is unpractical. I'll check out a few of the options and hopefully post some of the photos here at a later stage!

Wow - after having it sit on the desk staring at me for two weeks I finally went out yesterday - and was blown away with the results! The above was at 600mm handheld in crappy African light... The above was shot on Ai Servo And lastly a panning shot at 1/80th of a second - no focus...

I'd never call this a "lightweight" lens... definitely noticably heavier than my Canon 100-400mm but really impressed so far!
