Hi Spavo. I took the same upgrade path that you're contemplating. I tend to photograph wildlife (mainly birds) & I loved my 7d mk2 for that purpose. However, noise levels were irritating to me even tho there had been improvements from the original 7d. I'm now using a 5d mk iv & love it. Noise...

I have a third party unit that only works on manual setting on the flash with the 7d mk2.

I like to have sensor cleaning set to 'disable' & use the function manually when I feel it's required. I notice that whenever I recharge or load a fresh battery sensor cleaning occurs. Is this a fault with my mk2 or has anyone else experienced this?

duggiebee, I have to echo your feelings. I too upgraded from the 50d & the improvement is fantastic!!

KevC . . . that is impressive.

Mark, only had a quick look but the obvious observation is that the shutter speed is far too slow. I suggest trying again with a much faster speed. I've bought this body for bird in flight shots . . . so I'd be really disappointed if fast focusing wasn't good. Good luck.

I'm hoping to receive mine soon. I use raw & process with elements 10. Elements 10 doesn't support raw on the mark 2 . . . I've looked for an update to download but with no success. Can any one suggest a solution . . bearing in mind I'm not very tech savy so please keep it simple if possible...
