    Camcorder recommendations please?

That Panasonic looks good but I can't see a facility for a remote microphone. This is my current fave but very open to alternative suggestions. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00AYGBI74/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3B6J5JG19L1H7&coliid=I29IW7XP2I1GAM&psc=1

    Camcorder recommendations please?

At the moment I'm using a Nikon D600 SLR to record video, which works well but is a big cumbersome thing to cart about sometimes and also not the sort of thing you can drop into the hands of a helpful friend or colleague to 'point and shoot' if you want some film of yourself narrating. What I...

Will i really miss the crop factor

Why would you miss the 'crop factor'? The smaller sensor is not giving you 'extra reach' from a lens, it's simply pre cropping the image. If you want that 'reach' from a Full Frame then there is nothing to stop you cropping to achieve the exact same result. Nothing to lose then.

    Nikon D600 Weather Resistance?

I don't understand that video. What does it prove, that it's possible to put a camera under a shower? I think we already knew that. It doesn't give any indication of whether the camera was fine or junk afterwards...

Nikon D3 vs Nikon D700 vs Nikon D600

Faced exactly this choice and voted with my wallet. D600.

Have you ever had your lenses calibrated?

That's very cunning, thank you! I might try that first.

Have you ever had your lenses calibrated?

Interesting you say that. I mentioned that and was told that they calibrated the lenses off the camera so they wouldn't need it.

Have you ever had your lenses calibrated?

I've recently purchased a Nikon 12-24, 24-70, and 70-300. Two were new and one was second-hand. The first 24-70 was forward focussing terribly so I took it back and swapped it, the second is much much better. Perhaps because of that I'm tempted to have them all properly calibrated to make...

    D600 - no problems?

Going to stick my neck on the block, touch wood, etc etc, but after having black spots on my previous D600 and changed it for a new one, so far (6,000+ actuations in) all I have is a little dust (top left, again!) at F22. Not seen in "normal" photographs. Fingers crossed...! It is a very...

Recommend me a roller trolley / suitcase for camera stuff

This is the one I want as it's a roller bag and a back pack - best of both worlds! http://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/airport-takeoff-roller-camera-bag.aspx The only thing stopping me is the weight, it's nearly 5 kilos on its own, before putting anything in it. Any other suggestions?

Switching from Canon to Nikon (or vice versa) - why?

That's all very interesting, thanks. :) Any more?

Thanks for that, all done. Also found a D600 firmware update despite my camera only being a couple of months old so might be worth checking for that too.
