thanks for the example shots. it is the wider aperture of the 10.5mm that first attracted me to it. The sigma is only f/4 at 10mm, so the 10.5mm would be a marked advantage there. I think the only way i'm going to be able to make my mind up is to go and try out one of these lenses!

i was wondering that when i was looking at the pictures of the lens. that is a potential deal scupperer.. the front element would need protecting else i'd just be scared to ever take the lens out with me.
