I did used to be connected with the backroom staff at the club. Moved to South Yorkshire - don't see why that would make them suddenly want to deny me access? Mind you they can be a silly lot
Which webpage? It shouldn't state anywhere that I am currently connected to the club. I was there programme editor for a few years (boast alert) and won 4 awards with that, but have not represented the club since they were promoted to the Blue Square Prem.
I have no problem with that and apparently the league will be doing this next season. I used to work for the club and after leaving still supplied my pictures to the Press Officer free of charge, until this season at least.
I have a Conference Licence but Gateshead FC refuse to let me (at least) in unless I'm there for an agency or paper and can prove I am being paid to be there. Had no problems getting into Darlington, York or Rushden this season though. Went to Wrexham and Mansfield last season with no fuss either.
The pictures, as predicted, didn't come out very well at all. For future night matches I'm just going to pay and have fun supporting the team, although I did get praise from our number 2 keeper for getting in with my camera ;-)
These are cropped to 5x7 but remain unedited.
I'm not giving up yet. I'm going to mess around with some settings and see what I can get. A good crowd shot would be nice.
Went to York last season so I know I can sit right in the corner of the pitch where a floodlight is. Hopefully I can get a good shot.
Thanks again
Thanks guys. At least I can get in for free with the pass I guess.
Not going to give up though. I'll post a couple of pics from the game when I can and we can see how the camera fails.
Hi all,
I'm still new so apologies firstly if this is in the wrong forum.
I'm heading off to York City vs Gateshead on Tuesday night and I will be taking photos with my (now old) Olympus E500 and I was after some tips for settings I should use. I've been looking at them but to be honest...
Hello everybody,
My name is Alan (28 years old) and I've been taking photographs for roughly ten years now. Only an amateur though.
I currently take photographs (very rarely as I now live in South Yorkshire) when I can at Gateshead FC matches and followed a link from the fans forum to...
