Used equipment bought from MPB, Wex, Park Cameras etc

I've bought various items over the years. In my experience Park Cameras are unquestionably good; no issues. Wessex Photo, a little disappointed that the very good Tokina 17mm has a very wobbly barrel but for the price it's not worth complaining. LCE - first lens excellent, packed in foam cut...

    Help! Mobile site

Either I was blind and senile or something's changed, it's all good now thanks. My money's on the blind/senile reason.

    Backpack help

Perhaps, but I'd be concerned about the protection offered by a typically flexible day pack. Would you have any suggestions on suitable combinations at the more budget end of the market?

    Help! Mobile site

I'm just wondering why, when using mobile view, there is no list of forum topics available which means the forum is, basically, unusable. It means I have to switch to desktop view every time and it's a tad annoying as that obviously doesn't provide an easily readable view. Thank you.

    Backpack help

Thank you, I'm looking for a backpack specifically for use when walking fairly long distances, not wishing to have anything either in my hand or over only one shoulder. I've read that vanguard bags are well made so your experience is a welcome confirmation. Does anyone have any other suggestions...

    Backpack help

I'm in need of a camera backpack that complies with the underseat airline size of max 40x30x20cm. I found something called the Vanguard Veo Select 37 BRM which seems to be suitable, any views on this or alternative suggestions? It doesn't need to be able to carry more than one body and 1 perhaps...

What do want another one of those for you starting a collection

Try https://analoguerevival.co.uk/product/ricoh-kr5/ and https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1886876922/ricoh-vintage-kr-5-vintage-slr-film Both look ok but as a former user I guess you'll have a better idea.

    Greetings all

Well, still to get around to putting images up (not the best at admin, ha!) but more equipment yarns to tell; nostalgia has led me to purchase 2 OM-10s from eBay, both came with the 50/1.8 lens, also a T32 flash. Strangely enough I never owned the 50 when I was starting out all those decades...

Beginner Budget tripod for sony a7c + Tamron 28-75

I just got a 055 and a 229 head from Ffordes, cost about £100. It's big and a bit on the heavy side but rock solid, considering how old it must be it seems to be in great condition. When I say heavy I mean it's not like trying to lug around a suitcase at an airport and is really easily...

    Question re: filter threads

Ah, should have thought of that, thank you.

    Question re: filter threads

My sincere apologies if this is a bit of a stupid question but why is it that some lenses have a filter thread considerably larger than the diameter of the front lens element? For example the Olympus 11-22 for four thirds. Thanks in advance.

Thanks everyone. I'll try to put some images up when time permits.

    Greetings all

Not sure why it's taken so many decades to get around to joining but anyway here I am. I started out getting on for 50 years ago with an Olympus OM-10, standard lens and a Hoya 100-300. The bug grew and I went to an OM2SP and added, at various times, a Sigma 50-200 APO, Vivitar 19, Vivitar S1...
