Public Liabilty for Drone Aerial Photography

If it's just for hobby then the BMFA are the best IMHO. My commercial stuff is with Moonrock, but you'll need a PFCO as well for that.

    The General Drone-Related Thread

You get get it for a lot less than £1500 these days. The flying of a lot of aircraft isn't difficult these days with all the GPS assistance etc, but it's a very good idea to be able to fly without it as we all know things do and will fail. The issue with doing anything even mildly construed as...

Hello Brighton, short movie with time lapses and drone footage.

The CAA don't exactly define the 'congested area' but in other docs it can be anywhere that a light aircraft couldn't safely land, or any area where there may be a congregation or populice of people etc, so any built up area or anywhere where people have congregated. Having a PFCO and the...

Hello Brighton, short movie with time lapses and drone footage.

A year ago it was a PFAW, I know because I had/have one before at the last renewal it turned into a PFCO. They were never GUIDELINES, they were, and still are LAW under the ANO (Air Navigation Order). With a PFCO/PFAW and an aircraft under 7kgs, the 150m from a congested area is lifted, and the...

Legally you cannot use it for any gain, even though you made the video with no intention of it being used commercially the law still applies, and you cannot legally sell it.

    Backpack recommendations.

I have an f-stop Lotus, normally have the Small Pro ICU in it. You can get a surprisingly large amount in the ICU leaving plenty of space in the backpack for other items etc.

    Drones direct

I bought my Inspire 1 Pro and ipad mini from them along with some extra batteries a few weeks later. They were helpful and delivered as requested, no issues at all.

Timelapse movement - Timelapse rail project

I have built one of these; http://www.davidhunt.ie/motorised-time-lapse-rail-with-raspberry-pi/ You need to design the rails etc yourself but the code for the pi is available for free and the parts cost is pretty low.

    F-Stop Bags

That's what I have done. went for the Lotus, I mainly want it as a day sack so it should be large enough. My next proper trip out is the 3 Peaks at the end of the month. Fingers crossed it arrives before then.

    F-Stop Bags

I have been looking for a suitable backpack for when I go walking/climbing. The best bag I can find that ticks all of my boxes if the F-Stop range, with the Ajna my favourite, apart from CVP and Paramo does anyone know of anyone else in the UK that stock F-Stop? Are there any other backpacks...

Canon 5D MKIII official owners/users thread, anything related to the 5D MKIII

Look for a Canon 24-70 mk1 in the classifieds on here, still a great lens and still used by a lot of people, just because there's a mk2 doesn't make the mk1 bad. It was around for a lot of years and has done very good service for many photographers. I'd gone to preferring primes all the time...
