Dont bother with the G lens. I had one and never used it it was that crap.
I did the right thing and got the VR version, stunning autofocus, proper build quality, and VR2
The 55-200 would tick all the boxes, its a good price and its a nice size. Theres even one for sale on here at a good price.
The only thing I would question is would i need an extra 100mm? Or would it not be missed?

The D90 is fantastic, I loved my D80 but would never look back. The live view and video is an added bonus, I didn't buy it for that. Higher fps and fantastic high ISO performance.

Well I have a friend who is looking for an SLR and he doesn't want to spend a right lot, so I though I would sell him my D80 which is still in good condition, and give me a chance to upgrade for not a right lot. Im liking its high ISO performance as discussed on another forum.
