Put it on -10 at the moment, going to do a few more tests later on. Yes I have a couple of other lenses which I can try, just tend to use the 24-70 most of the time. Was really trying to get a feeling of how common it is to do this or if the camera I bought is not quite right....- andrewj

Nikon D3 af fine tune
I Just bought a second hand D£ & noticed it's not focusing sharply with my 24-70 (which I thought worked well on the D700), i've had a go fine tuning & it seems a lot better - I just wondered if this is a 'common' thing to do or if I should really send it to Nikon for a service as well?- andrewj
