Haven't used LR for a long long time. C1 used to be really buggy but I haven't had any problems with it for a long time – especially with tethered capture.
It wasn't as intuitive to use originally compared to LR but after persevering with it I, I really like using it now. You get used to where...
I can reccommend https://sites.google.com/site/gridssoftbox/ for grids. He built one for my Rotalux Deep. Top work. The guy who makes them is on this forum but can't remember or find his name.
Capture One is fantastic for tethered work. If you want things saved immediately to two places you could run a script but I generally back up as I go, to two separate drives using Chronosync.
One thing of note with the Sigma 85mm... it's due an update to the ART version soon. So when that happens it's value will decrease. I think the 135mm is also rumoured to be made by Sigma soon.
The 50mm on the crop would give you a great portrait lens. The Sigma 50mm Art is really really sharp.
In terms of battery life... I have the Quadra with the lead batteries. Had it for about 5 years and one of the batteries has no packed in.
Scouring the internet now to find and find a replacement lead battery.
Or upgrading the pack so it will take lithium batteries.
Or going down the Profoto...
