Morning all !
I've had my X100S for a while now and whilst it is a stunning piece of kit, I do miss the flexibility of a zoom lens (to compress distance etc).
So... I am thinking of moving the X100S on and getting the XT-1 with 18-135 lens, especially as there is 5% off at Wex (until 31/10)...
Well, turns out that the Kenko 1.4 TC works fine with the 70-300. AF and VR also work fine. Not as sharp as the lens on its own (obviously) but should be OK in good light.
The DXG version even reports the correct focal length, which is nice.
Will share some shots after the weekend...
Daniel.
Hmmm... was considering the Kenko DGX Pro-300 1.4x
I've found several reviews stating that it works with the 70-300VRii perfectly fine.
Will check one out later and report back ;)
Hi all...
I am off to RIAT on Saturday and I'm wondering if my kit is adequate...
I have a gripped D90 with a Nikkor 70-300 VRii being my longest lens.
Will a 300mm (450EFL) be enough or should I be looking at a TC, and if so, what strength ? Looks like a bright sunny day on...
Thank you !
I was not expecting to profit from this shot... and the paper can't / won't either.
I wasn't commissioned or asked to submit any images, I just sent in a shot that I was quite proud of and I'm just happy to see it in print. :)
Daniel.
LOL no fee - I sent it in as a reader submission. I've sent a few over the years (of squirrels and various Dorset wildlife) but this is the first one they've printed.
Just seeing it in print is payment enough (this time).
Well, not really published... I sent this photo in to the local daily paper last week...
Peacock by dsutton1974, on Flickr
it was printed in today's edition...
They've cropped the feathers off his head and called it a 'snap' but I will get over it
I know it's only a small...
Spotted this on another forum. I have done a search and can't find a link on here so here it is ;)
