i had this problem once with my genuine battery and it was idd the contacts on the charger and the battery, i cleaned the contacts and it fixed the problem must of been the dust on them
can speak for the 85mm hood but the one i got on my 70-200mm genuine canon one has been hit with rocks its been dropped on and bashed about to no ends and coverd in mud and been clipped on and off 1000s of times and its still as strong as i first had it :)
reason i lower the opacity is when i run a dark one like you self i found my eye constantly getting drawn to the corner of the shot by my watermark and found it distracting :bonk:
i notice you shot that pic at (1/2000) if the os was on then there is your problem ;) i use to have same prob with high speed and IS when i forgot to turn it off

Removed the city in the background to give it more a country look
Removed the lens flair in top middle
Run though my Colour contrast filter
Added border
Time took around 20min
